How to back up and restore your server

Turn on daily backups, make one any time, and restore your world, plugins and settings in one click.

Open your server's panel and choose the Backups tab.

  • Back up now saves the whole server: worlds, plugins, mods and settings.
  • Back up automatically every day makes one backup a day for you. It's off until you turn it on.
  • Restore replaces everything on the server with that backup and restarts it. Your other backups are kept.
  • Download saves a copy to your computer, which is the safest place for anything you can't lose.

How many are kept

The Free plan keeps 1 backup and the Great plan keeps 10. When a new backup would go over, the oldest is removed. Backups are stored with your server, so they count towards its storage.

Changing the Minecraft version makes a backup first, so you can always go back.
