How to install plugins and mods
Add plugins to Paper and Spigot servers, or mods to Fabric, Forge and NeoForge servers, in one click from Modrinth.
Your panel has a built-in browser for Modrinth, the largest open library of Minecraft plugins and mods. It only shows things that work with your server's software and version.
Install
- Open your server's panel and choose the Plugins tab (it's called Mods on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and Datapacks on Vanilla).
- Search for what you want, for example LuckPerms, EssentialsX or Lithium.
- Press Install. Anything it needs to work is installed with it.
- Press Restart at the top of the panel so the server loads it.
Keep everything up to date
The Installed list shows which plugins have an update. Press Update all, then restart. This also works for plugins you uploaded yourself, as long as they're on Modrinth.
Uploading your own
For something that isn't on Modrinth, open the Files tab, go into the plugins folder (or
mods), drag the .jar file in, and restart.
Plugins and mods are code that runs on your server, so only install ones you trust.
